Johanna DeJesus, MD
Dr. Johanna DeJesus is a Pediatric board certified medical doctor who attained her medical degree at NYU School of Medicine in New York City. She completed her Pediatric Residency at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD), which is the only free standing children’s hospital in Virginia.
Dr DeJesus started her career at Brevard Health Alliance, an established FQHC located in Rockledge, Florida, where she worked with the underserved and low-income patients. There, she provided routine patient care to children ranging from newborn to 18 years of age. Given that Dr DeJesus herself was raised in the projects of Harlem in NYC with a single mother, she is fully aware of the needs of underserved communities and is blessed to be in a position where she can both personally empathize with patients and medically serve them at the same time.
Dr DeJesus joined the Whole Family Health Center team in 2021, primarily providing pediatric care services for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and also served as a certified Spanish interpreter at CHKD during her residency training.
Although originally a native of New York City, Dr DeJesus has a love for Florida that motivated her to start her career here in the Sunshine State. Dr DeJesus is a wife to her wonderful husband, Neftali, and a mother to her two beautiful sons, Noah and Jonah. She and her family are excited to be a part of Whole Family and look forward to exploring Vero Beach and the rest of the Treasure Coast community.
